I want to welcome you to my office and tell you a little about my practice. In the early 1970’s, I was studying to be a chemical engineer. With less than a year to go, my chronic back pain took a turn for the worse. The medicine I was taking became less effective and I started having “side effects”. I was tired, dizzy, food tasted funny, and I had trouble concentrating. I became frustrated and discouraged. I viewed the world from a chemical perspective and it just wasn’t working.

One day, in the middle of a bad flair-up, I decided to see a chiropractor. He checked my spine and adjusted me. I felt some immediate relief and within two weeks I was pretty much pain free for the first time in several years.

My results led me to enroll at Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa and begin the four-year course of study leading to my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After graduating in 1978, Barbara and I moved our young family to Poway where we opened our office in June 1979.

Every year I take post-graduate courses to keep me up to date. I have advanced certification in whiplash injuries, pediatrics, sports care, disability evaluation, and x-ray. I am especially interested in keeping families healthy, care for pregnant women, auto injury care, as well as optimizing athletic performance. I belong to several professional organizations including the International Chiropractors Association, the Palmer Alumni Association, and the Palmer President’s Club. I’ve served on the board of the San Diego County Chiropractic Society.

Three decades of practice have convinced me that chiropractic can be more than an effective treatment for back pain, neck pain, or headaches. Researchers have found that chiropractic patients enjoy better health and spend “substantially less” on health care than non-chiropractic people.
